Interim superintendent likely to be named tonight in Kaneland

SUGAR GROVE – An interim superintendent is expected to be named at tonight's Kaneland School District 302 Board meeting at Kaneland Harter Middle School in Sugar Grove.

The board will meet at 6 p.m., and members then are expected to go into executive session. According to the agenda for tonight's meeting, the board expects to take action on the approval of a contract of an interim superintendent.

The board then is expected to reconvene in open session at 7 p.m. at the school, which is at 1601 Esker Drive in Sugar Grove.

Cheryl Krauspe, the school board's president, indicated last week that the board intended to name the interim superintendent before the departure of Superintendent Jeff Schuler, who is beginning his final week with the district. Schuler next week will become the superintendent at Wheaton Warrenville District 200. Krauspe had said that it would be ideal for the interim superintendent to have time to meet with Schuler before he leaves.
