St. Charles visitors bureau hires marketing manager

ST. CHARLES – The Greater St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau announced in a news release Monday that Allison Dull has joined the organization as marketing manager and festival assistant.

Dull will be in charge of a variety of projects for the bureau, including media releases, social media communications, e-marketing and helping with Scarecrow Fest.

She also will market destinations in Greater St. Charles to group businesses and leisure travelers.

Dull is a 2012 DePauw University graduate whose marketing experience includes an internship with Millikin University, a marketing specialist position with the Macon County Conservation District and a marketing communications specialist position at the Q Center.

The visitors bureau is funded by a portion of the hotel/motel tax collected by St. Charles hotels and by the Illinois Office of Tourism for the purpose of promoting Greater St. Charles as a destination for leisure tourists, meetings, conventions, sports events and motor coach trips.
