Marklund hosts Camelot theme in Top Hat fundraiser

BLACKBERRY TOWNSHIP – The 20th annual Top Hat Ball to benefit Marklund will be held Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown, 540 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago.

The theme this year is "A Knight in Camelot" featuring King Arthur and his round table.

Guests will be treated to action-packed live entertainment, Medieval-style ambiance, a chef-inspired meal and auction items for Marklund in the nonprofit's biggest fundraising event of the year, 

Director of Special Events Jeannine Zupo said in a press release.

Tickets are $350 per person, although various sponsorship packages are available.

Room reservations at the Marriott, with a special Top Hat Ball rate, are also being accepted online, according to the press release.

Marklund is a non-profit organization that provides housing and services for individuals with profound disabilities. 

The organization includes three campuses – Marklund at Mill Creek campus near Geneva, Marklund Philip Center for Children and the Marklund Day School in Bloomingdale, and the Marklund Resale Store in Wood Dale.
