ST. CHARLES – An event that has celebrated the spirit of home improvement, renovation and transformation for more than 30 years is set to return to St. Charles next month, according to a press release.
The Old House New House Home Show is planned for Feb. 12 to 14 at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is $7 for adults, $4 for those older than 62 and free for those younger than 18, according to the release. It indicated that a portion of the proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley and the ReStore in Elgin.
Parking is free.
According to the release, the following workshops are included with admission:
• Decorating Trends will be presented daily at 11 a.m. by Deb Goetz of St. Charles-based Deb Goetz Interiors. Explore colors and styles with this designer to give a home a new look.
• Landscaping for Curb Appeal will be presented daily at noon by Stephen Carlin of Great Impressions Landscaping. Learn about design basics and innovative approaches for creating appealing and inviting outdoor environments.
• Beautiful Bathrooms will be offered daily at 1 p.m. by Jim Campbell CKD of Lamantia Design and Construction. Learn about trends in surfaces and strategies for space planning to create an updated bathroom.
• Design Your Dream Kitchen will be presented daily at 2 p.m. by John Habermeier of West Chicago-based Synergy Builders. Learn about design basics, flow, functionality, space planning, storage and trends in materials to create a dream kitchen.
Attendees may enter to win a $1,000 home show gift certificate to use with their exhibitor of choice, the release states. No purchase is necessary.
