GENEVA – PB Kitchen Design of Geneva has landed in the top-10 list for “Best Bar” in Chicago on Houzz, the leading platform for home remodeling and design, the company announced in a news release.
The kitchen design firm, at 200 S. Third St., was chosen by more than 40 million monthly unique users that comprise the Houzz community, the release stated, noting that more than a million active home building, remodeling and design industry professionals were listed to choose from.
The project that won the award for “Best Bar” was designed by Dave McFadden, senior designer and CEO of PB Kitchen Design, the release stated.
“The beverage station is not a new feature in home remodeling; however, it has taken on a new feel, steering clear of a traditional ‘bar-like’ feel and homing in on more of a butler’s pantry-esque design,” McFadden stated in the release of the Mequon, Wis., project.
This particular home was new construction and featured many strong industrial aesthetics, yet preserved a warm and organic feel of the architecture, the release stated.
The bar/beverage station acts as a bond between meal preparation and living spaces, the release stated.
In addition to being the fifth most popular home bar photo of all time on Houzz worldwide, the PB Kitchen Design project went on to win first-place honors in the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s 2014 Design Competition, the release stated.
“We’re so pleased to award Best of Houzz 2017 to this incredible group of talented and customer-focused professionals, including PB Kitchen Design in Geneva,” Liza Hausman, vice president of industry marketing for Houzz, stated in the release.
“Each of these businesses were singled out for recognition by our community of homeowners and design enthusiasts for helping to turn their home improvement dreams into reality,” Hausman stated in the release.
The winner of numerous design awards, including the National Kitchen and Bath Association Best Overall Design, PB Kitchen Design has been featured on HGTV and is frequently published in consumer and trade publications, the release stated. For more information, visit pbkitchen.design.
