BATAVIA – Ahead of the April 4 election, a question-and-answer session on the Kane County Forest Preserve District's $50 million open space referendum will be presented at 7 p.m. March 13 in Batavia by the Valley of the Fox Group of the Sierra Club.

The group announced the Forest Preserve District will offer a presentation before questions begin. The speaker will be Laurie Metanchuk, director of community affairs and environmental education for the district, according to a news release.

Refreshments will be served, and admission is free. The program will be held at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave. For more information on the group, which draws from Kane and Kendall counties, visit sierraclub.org/illinois/valley-fox.
