Maple Park extends moratorium on water, sewer connection fees

MAPLE PARK – The Maple Park Board of Trustees approved a pair of ordinances during its board meeting March 7.

They extended the moratorium on water and sewer connection fees until Sept. 7.

The board also moved ahead with an ordinance that temporarily suspends certain impact fees in the Maple Park village code. This ordinance now temporarily suspends development contributions otherwise required to be paid on a new construction building permit through Sept. 7 as well.

The final ordinance discussed has been tabled until the April meeting. The ordinance regards the zoning map.

In addition, the board also made a proclamation for April 4 as National Service Recognition Day. It encourages residents to recognize the positive impact of national service in Maple Park and thanks those who serve and find ways to give back to their communities.
