• A resident reported a $500 loss to a scam March 28, in which he bought an expensive pair of shoes from someone through Craigslist. He met the seller at Geneva Commons and gave him cash in an envelope for a pair of Adidas Yeezy shoes, realizing later that the shoes were fake and the seller’s account was deleted from Craigslist.

• A saw, grinder and recharger valued at $400 were reported stolen April 4 from a vehicle parked in the parking lot of Brittany Court.

• A mailbox in the 900 block of Harbortown Court was reported damaged March 29.

• Freddy A. Flores, 20, of the 900 block of Gary’s Mill Road, West Chicago, was charged March 24 with possession of an electronic sale with marijuana residue. In the same incident, Nicolle Del Rosario, 25, of the 7600 block of Manchester Manor, Hanover Park, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Windows of an unknown value were reported broken March 27 at the First Congregational Church, 327 Hamilton St.

• Four windows of an unknown value were reported broken March 28 at a house in the 2100 block of Sheffield Lane.
