Elburn resident Bobby Dietz, 63, was at a plant sale at his house when he answered questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.
Schory: Where did you grow up?
Dietz: Glen Ellyn and Elburn. I’ve lived in Elburn 50 years, graduated from Kaneland High School in 1971.
Schory: Do you have any pets?
Dietz: A Pomeranian named Chloe
Schory: Who would play you in the movie of your life?
Dietz: A young Richard Gere or George Strait

Dietz: At Jewel-Osco in Batavia when I was 15
Schory: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Dietz: I wanted to be a pharmacist, but I became a contractor. I’m retired now.

Dietz: The Corner Grind in Elburn

Dietz: I did construction work on the house of John Elway, the quarterback of the Denver Broncos in Colorado.
