Sugar Grove resident David Paluch, 50, was at a Sugar Grove Corn Boil Committee meeting when he answered questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.
Schory: Where did you grow up?
Paluch: Mount Prospect
Schory: Do you have any pets?
Paluch: We adopted a pit bull named Sweet Pea from Kane County Animal Control. They don’t know anything about her because she was a stray, but she is housebroken, knows her commands and is very gentle. Never had a pit bull before, always had pugs.
Schory: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Paluch: A sportscaster, but that didn’t pan out. Right now I’m on the government sales team for Verizon and a trustee in the village of Sugar Grove.
Schory: What do you do for the Corn Boil?
Paluch: I’m on the Opening Ceremony Committee. It’s a way to give back to the community.
Schory: Favorite local restaurant?
Paluch: Genoa’s Pizza and Open Range
Schory: What is an interesting factoid about yourself?
Paluch: I graduated high school with Marlee Matlin.
