GENEVA – A man who tore up and threw down a ticket for public intoxication – and swore at police – received a second ticket for littering, Geneva police reports show.

Geneva police were called to the 600 block of Westfield Course at 2:18 a.m. June 30 regarding an intoxicated person, reports stated.

They found Kye A. Singer, 25, of the 3100 block of Riverbirch Drive, Aurora, asleep in the front passenger seat of a car registered to someone else reports stated.

The car had miscellaneous clothing, garbage and an open container of Spaghetti-O’s in the center console cup holder, reports stated.

Police woke Singer up and had him call Uber for a ride to a friend’s house. But when police gave him a local ordinance ticket, citing him for public intoxication, Singer tore it up, threw it on the ground, and swore at officers, reports stated.

Police had the Uber driver wait until the police could write another local ordinance ticket, citing Singer for littering, reports stated.

Ultimately, Singer had both tickets when he left with the Uber driver, reports stated.

The local ordinance tickets requires Singer to appear in court and pay fines of $50 for public intoxication and $25 for littering.
