Police Reports

Kane County Sheriff’s Office reports

• A violation of an order of protection was reported July 13 in the 0N500 block of Armstrong Lane near Geneva.

• Criminal trespassing to a residence and criminal trespassing to real property was reported July 16 in the 35W300 block of Riverside Drive near St. Charles.

• Prohibited use of a credit card with intent to defraud was reported July 18 in the 38W000 block of Tanglewood Drive near Batavia. A fraudulent purchase of $714.44 was made, according to the sheriff’s report.

• Computer fraud was reported July 18 in the 0-99 block of Penny Lane near Sugar Grove.

• Retail theft was reported July 19 in the 36W600 block of Marguerite Street near St. Charles.  Four Bilstein Touring Class front suspension strut cartridges, valued at $600, were stolen, according to the sheriff’s report.

• Harassment through electric communications threatening injury was reported July 19 in the 04N000 block of Wyngate Road near St. Charles.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported July 20 in the 07N700 block of Sycamore Road near St. Charles. 

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported July 22 in the 6N100 block of Sylvia Lane near St. Charles. A $400 car stereo was stolen.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported July 22 in the 35W000 block of Stanton Drive near St. Charles. A purse valued at $150; a wallet valued at $100; $35; a Social Security card; a firearm owners identification card; and an Illinois driver’s license.

•  Theft of motor vehicle parts or accessories was reported July 23 in the 01N400 block of Schrader Road near Maple Park. A license plate and the front grille bracket for a license plate were stolen, according to the sheriff’s report.

• Criminal damage to property more than $300 and less than $10,000 was reported July 23 in the 5N600 block of Leola Lane near St. Charles. Two black metal mailboxes, valued at $150 each, a black plastic mailbox, valued at $150, and a green metal mailbox, valued at $150, were damaged, according to the sheriff’s report.

•  Burglary and criminal damage to property of more than $300 and less than $10,000 was reported July 24 in the 1700 block of Spring Valley Drive near Elburn. A glass door was damaged and $300 was stolen.

• Leaving the scene of an accident was reported July 24 on Route 25 near St. Charles.

•  Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported July 24 in the 0S500 block of Preston Court near Geneva. Paperwork with bank information, Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses valued at $300, and $60 in cash were stolen, according to the sheriff’s report.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported July 24 in the 39W300 block of Preston Circle near Geneva. Seventy dollars in cash was stolen, according to the sheriff’s report.

• Criminal trespassing to vehicles was reported July 24 in the 39W100 block of Preston Circle near Geneva.

• Intent to defraud was reported July 24 on Still Meadows Lane near Elburn.  The victim lost $5,000 as part of the fraud, according to the sheriff’s report.

• Cruel treatment to animals was reported July 25 in the 6N500 block of Wyoming Avenue near St. Charles.
