Police Reports

Kane County Sheriff’s Office reports

• Criminal trespassing to real property and criminal damage to property under $300 was reported Aug. 29 in the 1200 block of South Batavia Avenue near Batavia. A door frame to a garage valued at $100 was reported damaged.

• Criminal damage to property greater than $300 and less than $10,000, theft under $500 and criminal trespassing to real property was reported Sept. 1 in the 6N500 block of Route 25 near St. Charles. A gas can valued at $30 was reported stolen. Nine padlocks, a rear light cover for a John Deere skid steer and two handles on a trailer were reported damaged. A cargo trailer also was reported to have its rear and back doors spray-painted.

• Identity theft was reported Sept. 1 in the 42W200 block of Still Meadows Lane near Elburn.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Sept. 1 in the 33W400 block of Route 38 near Geneva. A concrete saw valued at $1,000 was reported stolen.

• Dumping was reported Sept. 3 in the 2000 block of Dean Street near St. Charles.

•  Mauro C. Jacobo, 31, of the 5S900 block of Deerpath Road, Aurora, was charged Sept. 4 with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent, improper lane use, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving while license suspended.

• Criminal damage to property greater than $300 and less than $10,000 was reported Sept. 5 in the 50W300 block of Route 38 near Maple Park. Crops valued at $1,500 were reported destroyed.

• Adam James Ziegler, 29, of the 4N900 block of Meredith Road near Maple Park was charged Aug. 30 with domestic battery causing harm and domestic battery of a provoking or an insulting nature.
