"He takes a lot of pride in his work and presentation," Zaffar said, noting that for the Campton Hills location, he has added rib eye, filet mignon and his signature bruschetta salmon, the latter a long-running special.
For the dish, roasted salmon is served atop vegetables with herb-crusted potatoes, and is crowned by bruschetta-style tomatoes with a balsamic glaze.
Another healthful offering is the Very Berry Salad, which Zaffar said tosses baby greens with dried cranberries, candied pecans, strawberries, mandarin oranges, blue cheese crumbles and grilled chicken with raspberry vinaigrette.
"The Italian beef egg rolls have outsold every item on the menu," Zaffar said, noting the huge egg rolls are hand-rolled in-house and chopped in half for a six-piece appetizer. "People are coming [to] the bar and getting egg rolls as a meal."
