Geneva resident Andrew W. Fox, 71, was volunteering at the Geneva History Museum when he answered questions for the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.

Schory: Where did you grow up?
Fox:
Aurora

Schory: Do you have any pets?
Fox:
A cat named Kitty Hawk. She was named Kitty Hawk because she was found during the year of 2003, which is the centennial for Kitty Hawk.

Schory: First job?
Fox:
I was an apprentice in a sheet metal shop.

Schory: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Fox:
I wanted to be a sailor because my dad was in the Navy. I worked for AT&T Western Electric Manufacturing as a quota control engineer. Then I got involved in software development.

Schory: Do you have a book or movie you would recommend?
Fox:
Dan Brown novels

Schory: Favorite charity?
Fox:
I volunteer at the Geneva History Museum and at the Geneva Park District Butterfly House.

Schory: Favorite ice cream flavor?
Fox:
Butter Pecan

Schory: Favorite local restaurant?
Fox:
Chianti’s in Geneva

Schory: What is an interesting factoid about yourself?
Fox:
I am an avid collector of Charles Lindbergh memorabilia.
