Motorcyclist suffers minor injuries in crash

NORTH AURORA – A motorcycle rider who was hit by a pickup truck Oct. 1 in North Aurora was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

The crash occurred at 3:20 p.m. when a 1999 Ford pickup, driven by Dana Anastasia, 52, of the 400 block of Batavia Avenue, Batavia, pulled out of a private road about 500 feet north of Oak Street, North Aurora Deputy Chief Scott Buziecki wrote in an email.

Anastasia’s pickup struck a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle ridden by Kenneth Goldman, 31, of the 600 block of Spring Avenue, Naperville, as it was traveling south on Randall Road, Buziecki’s email stated.

Goldman, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and transported to Presence Mercy Medical Center in Aurora with minor, non-life threatening injuries, Buziecki’s email stated.

Anastasia received citations for failure to yield the right of way and operating an uninsured vehicle; Goldman was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle, Buziecki’s email stated.
