Police Reports

Kane County Sheriff’s Office reports

• Prohibited use of a credit card was reported Oct. 5 in the 5N800 block of Ravine Drive near St. Charles.

• A residential burglary was reported Oct. 6 in the 6N100 block of Weber Drive near St. Charles. A front door with a glass window, valued at $500, was reported damaged.

• Damage to property was reported Oct. 6 in the 39W600 block of Terney Square near Geneva. The letters “F U” were reported to be carved into the front door.  Damage to the door was estimated at $500, according to police reports.

• James E. Pfortmiller Jr., 49, of the 36W900 block of Thorntree Road near St. Charles, was charged Oct. 17 with aggravated assault. A black and brown Taurus 92 9mm pistol was taken into evidence, along with two 9mm pistol magazines, one with 15 rounds and another with 14 rounds, according to police reports.

• Disorderly conduct was reported Oct. 7 in the 200 block of Whipple Avenue near Batavia.

•  Harassment by telephone was reported Oct. 7 in the 38W500 block of Cloverfield Drive near St. Charles.

• Latoya D. Williams, 45, of the 500 block of Charles Street, Aurora, was charged Oct. 7 with endangering the life of a child under the age of 18 years old, improper lane use and driving under the influence.

• Disorderly conduct was reported Oct. 7 in the 39W100 block of Longmeadow Lane near St. Charles.

• A violation of an order of protection was reported Oct. 8 in the 5N400 block of Glen Oak Lane near St. Charles.

• Stalking and a violation of an order of protection were reported Oct. 3 in the 37W700 block of Route 38 near St. Charles.

• Criminal damage to property over $300 and less than $10,000 was reported Oct. 4 in the 09S900 block of Mighell Road near Sugar Grove. Approximately 1,600 bushels of corn, valued at $6,000, were reported damaged. A large ATV is suspected to have driven through the corn field.

• Identity theft was reported Oct. 4 in the 0N100 block of Holland Lane near Geneva.
