Student government provides leadership opportunities for students, as well as a line of communication between college administrators and the student body, the release stated. The government leaders sit on many college committees and provide feedback to the college leadership.

The members of the student government hosted a get-acquainted reception for the college president and other administrators Oct. 6 at the Sugar Grove Campus. The student leaders were introduced to the board of trustees at its October meeting.
