GENEVA – At least one person was injured in a three-car crash Monday morning in Geneva.
Emergency crews responded around 6:45 a.m. Monday to the Kirk Road overpass just north of Northwestern Medicine Field in Geneva for a report of a collision involving three cars, Patrick Gengler, Kane County Sheriff's Office's Director of Administration, said in an email.
The crash occurred in the northbound lane and caused police to close the bridge for roughly one hour.
"The roads were slippery and that area tends to be a particular problem when the roads ice up," Gengler said.
At least one person was transported to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva with non-life threatening injuries. It was unclear as of Tuesday morning how many people were in each vehicle, how the crash occurred or if any citations were issued.
