BATAVIA – Inquiries about the age- and income-restricted apartments under construction in Batavia are about to translate into applications for the 80 units at Windmill Manor.
The property at 2400 Hawks Drive is just southwest of the Walmart on Randall Road and also within walking distance of Advocate Dreyer Medical Clinic.
The income limit for residents of the rent-restricted apartments will be around $37,000 or $38,000, according to Joe Marone, who spoke on behalf of the developer, JNB Batavia. He said he estimates the rents will be about $825 for a one-bedroom unit and $940 for a two-bedroom apartment. The income limit is 60 percent or less of the median income for the area.
The anticipated rents for the project's market-rate units will be $995 and $1,350, respectively.
"We are going to start processing applications in December of 2017," Marone said. "You have a potential move-in date of March 1."
