Kane County Sheriff's Office reports

• State benefits fraud was reported Nov. 17 in the 35W900 block of Fieldcrest Drive near St. Charles.

• A residential burglary was reported Nov. 20 in the 5N300 block of Hanson Road near St. Charles. A small safe containing two paper envelopes and a butter knife were taken into evidence to be tested for fingerprints. The theft of $800 in cash was also reported.

• Theft under $500 was reported Nov. 22 in the 0N800 block of Friendship Way near Geneva. A leather wallet valued at $50 containing a PNC credit card, an Illinois identification card, a Mail Handlers card, a Veterans Affairs card, a Medicare card and a Social Security card were reported stolen.

• Enrique M. DeLeon, 25, of the 500 block of West Spring Street, South Elgin, was charged Nov. 22 with possession of 10 grams or less of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to yield while turning left. Six grams of a substance that field-tested as marijuana and a glass pipe were taken into evidence.

• Ryan W. Dixon, 23, of the 800 block of Rivers Edge Drive, Minooka, was charged Nov. 23 with driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, transportation or possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle with expired registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to perform duties upon damaging a vehicle or property and driving on roadways laned for traffic.

• Theft of a motor vehicle with a value less than $10,000 was reported Nov. 23 in the 37W700 block of Heritage Drive near Batavia.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Nov. 23 in the 37W400 block of Heritage Drive near Batavia.

• Leaving the scene of an accident was reported Nov. 23 on Randall Road near St. Charles.

• David Paul Smallwood, 55, of the 300 block of South Drive, South Elgin, was charged Nov. 24 with domestic battery causing bodily harm and domestic battery of an insulting or provoking nature.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Nov. 24 in the 44W800 block of Main Street near Elburn.

• Criminal damage to property under $300 was reported Nov. 24 in the 1S800 block of Deerpath Road near Batavia. Two concrete statues were reported damaged.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Nov. 24 in the 44W600 block of Greenbriar Drive near Elburn.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Nov. 24 in the 44W600 block of Greenbriar Drive near Elburn.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Nov. 24 in the 1S300 block of Greenbriar Drive near Elburn.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Nov. 24 in the 1S700 block of Greenbriar Drive near Elburn.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Nov. 24 in the 44W700 block of Concord Court near Elburn.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Nov. 24 in the 43W700 block of Oakleaf Drive near Elburn. Approximately $100 in cash was reported stolen.

• Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported Nov. 24 in the 43W700 block of Willow Creek Drive near Elburn.

• Resisting or obstructing a police officer, obstructing identification and a miscellaneous traffic charge were reported Nov. 24 in the 39W200 block of Longmeadow Lane near St. Charles.

• Criminal damage to property under $300 was reported Nov. 26 in the 5N800 block of Westwood Lane near St. Charles. Two Christmas laser lights valued at $120 were reported damaged.

• Disorderly conduct was reported Nov. 26 in the 7N100 block of Whispering Trail near St. Charles.

• Rebecca Louellen Hana, 28, of the 100 block of Calkins Drive, Sugar Grove, was charged Nov. 25 with driving under the influence.

• Leaving the scene of an accident was reported Nov. 27 in the 0N500 block of King Drive near Geneva.

• Theft under $500 was reported Nov. 13 in the 46W700 block of Main Street near Kaneville. A black Michael Kors wristwatch valued at $250 was reported stolen.

• Identity theft was reported Nov. 21 in the 38W700 block of Bonnie Court near St. Charles. A car was rented in the victim's name in Ottawa Hills, Ohio, and $2,952 was missing from the victim's bank account.

• William H. Tack, 18, of the 38W700 block of Old Homestead Road near St. Charles, was charged Nov. 22 with the purchase or acceptance of a gift of liquor by a person under the age of 21.
