ST. CHARLES – A 33-year-old St. Charles man was injured following a three-car collision Thursday morning in St. Charles.

Emergency crews responded around 8 a.m. Thursday to the intersection of Peck Road and West Main Street in St. Charles for a reported three-car crash, St. Charles Deputy Police Chief David Kintz said in an email.

Mehgan Taylor, 29, of Sycamore was driving a 2011 Buick Enclave east on West Main Street when she disobeyed a red light and struck a southbound 2006 Chevrolet Impala on Peck Road. A 33-year-old St. Charles man was driving the Chevy. His vehicle spun and struck a 2003 Honda Pilot, which a 26-year-old St. Charles woman was driving north on Peck Road.

The man who was initially hit was transported to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva with non-life threatening injuries, Kintz said.

"Two witnesses were able to say that the Buick went through a red light," Kintz said.

Taylor was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
