Elburn resident Joe Shepke, 68, was getting coffee at The Corner Grind in Elburn when he answered questions for Shaw Media's Zachary Van Vuren.
Van Vuren: Where did you grow up?
Van Vuren: What did you want to be when you grew up?
Shepke: An airline pilot
Van Vuren: What do you do now?
Shepke: I'm retired.
Van Vuren: What did you do for work?
Shepke: I worked 40 years for DuPont in various jobs.
Van Vuren: Do you have any family?
Shepke: I have a wife, Anita, and two kids, but I raised two others and I have grandkids. I've been married for 46 years.
Van Vuren: Do you have a favorite local charity?
Shepke: Royal Family Kids' Camps. It's a church camp for foster kids.
