I look forward to this time of year for many obvious reasons. But around the Kane County Chronicle, Elburn Herald and Sugar Grove Herald office, I look forward to the end of the year because it's a time that I can reflect on my work from the last year. I love remembering the amazing stories I'm so lucky to get to tell and people I get to meet.
This year was no different in the fact that I had a very hard time choosing my favorite photos of the year.
It was a great day on the job last summer when I had the chance to visit a chicken coop in unincorporated Kane County, where Kylie, 12, Evyn, 10, and Kelyn Christiansen, 7, learned how to care for the animals.
