Batavia-Opoly game available now

BATAVIA – People still have a chance to snare one of the newly released Batavia-Opoly games offered through the Batavia Chamber of Commerce.

Extras are available for purchase for $25, according to a news release. Those who ordered in advance and did not pick them up the week before Christmas are asked to contact the chamber to make arrangements at 630-879-7134 or info@bataviachamber.org.

Creating Batavia’s own board game involved business owners and community members. The game features the Batavia Public Library, Batavia School District, Batavia MainStreet, city of Batavia, Fermilab, Batavia Park District and many of the favorite businesses and organizations around town.

The custom pewter playing pieces include a bulldog, lighthouse, Wilson Hall, Bruce the Spruce, Mr. Egghead and Mayor Jeff Schielke.
