BATAVIA – Batavia police issued a 47-year-old Aurora man a citation after he drove off the roadway and into a wooded area Tuesday night in Batavia.

A single-vehicle crash was reported just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on South Randall Road near Mill Creek, Batavia Police Detective Michelle Langston said.

Peter Babic, 47, of Aurora, was found in a 2012 Chrysler 200 in a wooded area off the roadway. A passerby had reported his vehicle to police.

Babic was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but Langston declined to provide information about his condition. The cause of the crash was not known Wednesday morning.

Babic was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
