Geneva police reports

• Rose Vape, 1772 S. Randall Road, Geneva, reported the theft of $360 worth of vaping equipment on Jan. 19. According to police reports, a $180 vape kit, a $60 vaporizer starter kit and $30 worth of batteries were taken. A witness chased the suspect to the area of Miller Road, but he got away, reports stated.

• Jose A. Polo, 42, of the 800 block of Charles Street, Aurora, was charged Feb. 1 with driving under the influence, speeding, no valid driver’s license and driving without insurance.

• Items valued at $1,641 were reported stolen Feb. 2 from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the employee lot at Barnes and Nobel, 102 Commons Drive, Geneva. Items reportedly taken include an iPad Pro valued at $1,200, wireless headphones valued at $200, iPad case and keyboard valued at $100, a canvas bag, sweat pants, T-shirt, $60 in cash and a debit card, reports stated. The owner had left the vehicle momentarily to retrieve something forgotten at Massage Envy, 116 Commons Drive, reports stated.

• Carlos D. Gomez, 25, of the 200 block of North 15th Street, St. Charles, was charged Feb. 4 with possession of marijuana and speeding.

• Seven pink lace mesh plunge teddies valued at $406, or $58 each, were reported stolen Jan. 30 from Victoria’s Secret, 222 Commons Drive, Geneva.

• An orange traffic cone, valued at $50, was reported damaged Jan. 26 when someone threw it in the public fireplace in the 100 block of Third Street. The fireplace was not damaged, but the traffic cone was severely burned, reports stated.

• An unknown amount of items was reported stolen Jan. 22 from H&M, 530 Commons Drive, Geneva.

• Jeffrey S. Pilato, 61, of the 1100 block of Thoroughbred Circle, St. Charles, was charged Jan. 21 with driving under the influence and failure to dim headlights.
