Criminal incidents in Kane County

• A resident of the 2S100 block of Hazel Crest Drive, Sugar Grove Township, reported Jan. 26 that $4,750 was withdrawn from his account at a bank in Indiana.

• A purse valued at $200 and clothing valued at $200 was reported stolen Feb. 8 from a house in the 35W000 block of Chillem Drive, Batavia Township. The items were missing from a bedroom in a house where others rent bedrooms, according to reports.

• Francisco J.R. Rojas, 29, of the zero to 99 block of Plum Street, Elgin, was charged Feb. 14 with speeding 26 to 34 mph over the speed limit and having only one working headlight at Randall Road and Dean Street in St. Charles Township.

• A resident of the 0N000 block of Alexander Drive, Blackberry Township, reported a domestic situation Feb.4 in which her ex-husband came home after four days of binge drinking. The couple is divorced, but live together, reports stated. As both parties were intoxicated, she agreed to sleep in the bed and he agreed to sleep on the sofa.

• A resident of the 6N600 block of Wyoming Avenue, St. Charles Township, reported a battery Feb. 5 in which the victim’s face was swollen and bleeding and he told police he had been punched “hundreds” of times. Deputies had a difficult time understanding him because of language, intoxication and him slipping in and out of consciousness, reports stated. The woman in the house told police she had no idea how her husband got hurt, reports stated.
