Sugar Grove Ace, owned by Mark Driscoll, was recognized for his store achieving Pinnacle Performance Retailing for the third year in a row.

SUGAR GROVE – Ace Hardware in Sugar Grove achieved the highest level of recognition from the corporate headquarters in Oak Brook for exemplary performance for the third year in a row, according to a news release.

The Ace in Sugar Grove was designated as a Pinnacle Performance Retailing store for its outstanding performance, the release stated.

Pinnacle Performance Retailing means the store is laser-focused on its customers, helping to ensure that Ace stores deliver on its brand promise day in and day out, the release stated.

"For a store to achieve Pinnacle Performance Retailing is an outstanding accomplishment," Dan Miller, vice president of retail operations and new business for the Ace Hardware Corporation, stated in the release. “Sugar Grove Ace has been open three years and the team has earned this award all three of those years, which is extraordinary. We’re pleased to recognize Mark Driscoll and his team of associates at Sugar Grove Ace for their outstanding achievements, and to say they’re a part of the Ace family.”

With more than 5,000 stores in more than 60 countries, the team at Sugar Grove Ace is one of only a few hundred Ace retailers to achieve this prestigious Pinnacle status, the release stated.

To achieve Pinnacle Performance Retailing, the team at Sugar Grove Ace successfully completed a number of key performance drivers, the release stated.

One example of a performance driver is Helpful Certification, the foundational element of the company’s retail training curriculum. To become certified, Ace Hardware associates complete courses such as Helpful 101 and 201 and the store conducts a week-long team-based certification event, the release stated.

“The team at Sugar Grove Ace is incredibly pleased to have earned the status as a Pinnacle Performance Retailing store again this year,” Mark Driscoll, owner of Sugar Grove Ace, stated in the release.

“What this means for our customers is that we are more committed than ever to providing our loyal shoppers with the best possible retail experience – from customer service to product offerings and more, we’re taking ‘Ace helpful’ to a new level,” Driscoll stated in the release.
