Schory: Where did you grow up?
McCann:
South side of Chicago

Schory: Who would play you in the movie of your life?
McCann:
Paul Newman

McCann:
Paper boy

Schory: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
McCann:
A railroad engineer, but I became a high school history teacher.

Schory: What is an interesting fact about yourself?
McCann:
I met President Trump in Houston, Texas, during an immigration conference in September 2017. I shook his hand and gave him advice. He needs advice. My advice to him was … to enforce federal law. He just nodded.
