Crimes reported in Campton Hills

• A recycling bin at Anderson Park, 5N180 Brown Road, Campton Hills, was reported March 24 to have been set on fire. Reports stated that the bin was adjacent to a Wasco baseball field, and culprits also burned home plate while it was in the ground.

• A jogger reported being bitten by a dog without a leash March 24 while he was running in the Fox Mill subdivision. According to reports, a golden retriever bit him in the upper back and when he told the dog’s owner he would call police, the owner replied that he didn’t care.

• Joseph D. Swiderski, 29, of the 500 block of Parkside Drive, Elburn, was charged March 31 with driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent.

• A subject reportedly threw a glass bottle in a driveway April 24 in the 41W700 block of Route 64, Campton Hills, and used a rusty crowbar to smash a driver’s door window of two vehicles. According to reports, the owner had made a report on April 9 that someone had left a pile of excrement on the passenger seat of one of the vehicles.

• Three windows were reported to have four shots fired into them May 11 at a house in the 41W900 block of Woodland Drive, causing $4,000 to $5,000 in damage.
