In Focus: Dad time

For the second year in a row, St. Charles was host to some major celebrity muscle. St. Charles-based ALE Solutions hosted the Golf.Give.Gala benefiting the Michael Phelps Foundation and PGA golfer Jason Day’s Brighter Days Foundation.

Dozens of television, radio and sports celebrities took part in the event, including, of course, Phelps and Day.

During a news conference before what would have been a golf outing had it not been raining sheets of water, Phelps arrived with his beautiful young family in tow. The winningest Olympian in history was just like every other working mom or dad I know, juggling family and professional (his charity in this instance) obligations.

He effortlessly scooped his son, Boomer, into his arms as he remained focused and answered questions from the local media.
