Soda will be part of the River Rhapsody Concert Series this summer in Batavia.

BATAVIA – The Batavia Park District and Batavia Rotary Club will present the River Rhapsody Concert Series, which kicks off at 7 p.m. June 13 at the Batavia Riverwalk.

The concerts will take place on select Wednesdays throughout the summer from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of musical acts, a news release stated.

Alcohol is prohibited. Concessions will be available on all concert dates, except June 13, courtesy of Bernie’s Bully Dogs.

June 13: Red Woody – The musicians will perform hit songs from every decade. Some of the artists covered are Journey, Matchbox 20, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, John Mellencamp and Poison.

June 20: 1976 – The band revisits all the rocking music from that era and takes concertgoers along for the ride.

June 27: RockStar Rodeo – The guys and gal are said to deliver one of the most high-energy and professional country performances in the Midwest. Selections range from “Wagon Wheel” to hits such as “Shook Me All Night Long.”

July 18: Pirates Over 40 – Since 1999, the band has been entertaining audiences all over the Midwest with fun renditions of tropical favorites, including Jimmy Buffett, mixed with an eclectic mix of oldies and classic rock, all performed in uniquely tropical-flavored style.

July 25: Soda – The band features four experienced musicians who capture the heart and soul of one of the most diverse playlists audiences can find anywhere. Concertgoers hear everything from Johnny Cash and Dave Matthews to Styx and John Mayer.

Aug. 1: SHinDiG! – The group delivers “true-to-the-originals” renditions of the 45s played on AM radio. The band’s goal is to make audience members feel like they are immersed in the 1960s music scene.

Aug. 8: Wild Daisy – The dynamic, female-fronted country band performs current, upbeat country, with a few pop-rock songs thrown in.

The Batavia Park District thanks the 2018 River Rhapsody Concert sponsors: Batavia Rotary Club, Batavia Animal Clinic, Batavia Parks Foundation, Batavia Historical Society, Golden Seal Service Experts, Kane County Chronicle and Batavia resident John Faust.
