Montini likely hasn't forgotten Marmion's win last year – the Cadets' first in the rivalry since 2009.
Here's a quick recap of that game.
Marmion scored on an interception return for a touchdown, putting the Cadets up 21-20 midway through the fourth quarter. The ensuing possession, Montini responded with a touchdown, but opted to kick the field goal instead of a two-point conversion, taking a 27-21 lead with 1:35 remaining.
Former Marmion quarterback Brandon McPherson took care of the rest, scoring the game-winning touchdown with 22 seconds left.
"Our goal is to be 1-0 this week come 10 p.m. Friday night. We are going to be ready," Ferraro said.
The Cadets have started fast this season with convincing victories over DePaul Prep and DuSable by a combined 81-0 margin.
The defense pitched one shutout total all of last season – the Cadets' first win of the season – and has seven dating back to the 2013-14 regular season.
It's simply enjoying an explosive offense, led by Declan McDonald in his first two varsity starts.
"Even last year, only one team held us below two touchdowns," Ferraro said. "We love to get up [in the game] early, so once we score, we go right into a no huddle the next possession and try to get up quick."
