St. Charles East at Wheaton Warrenville South
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday.
What to watch for: The Saints (3-0, 1-0) might boast the best offensive line in the conference, and continue to establish dominance up front, allowing BJ Crossen, Justin Jett and Cole Conn to run free. Last week, East was prone to outside zone rushes, which kept Glenbard North around. Wheaton Warrenville South (3-0, 1-0), off to its best start since 2013, easily handled Geneva last week after rushing for over a combined 200 yards. Tigers defensive back Joe Ives had two interceptions last week.
St. Francis at Wheaton Academy
When: 7 p.m. Friday.
What to watch for: Perhaps the nicest surprise of the season is 3-0 St. Francis' continued rise in the win column – scoring 35 points in back-to-back games and securing its third win of the season last week. Wheaton Academy (2-1) understandably struggled against IC Catholic Prep last week, but boast a more than capable offense piloted by Ben Thorson, who threw for 179 yards and two touchdowns.
