St. Charles resident Heidi Hunter, 73, was volunteering for the Geneva Chamber of Commerce at Festival of the Vine in Geneva when she answered questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Schory: Where did you grow up?

Hunter: Frankfurt, Germany. I used to live in Geneva, but recently moved to St. Charles.

Schory: Do you have any pets?

Hunter: A parakeet named Rambo

Schory: Who would play you in the movie of your life?

Hunter: Me

Schory: First job?

Hunter: Baby-sitting

Schory: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Hunter: A nurse, but I worked in retail instead.

Schory: Book or movie you would recommend?

Hunter: “The Book Club”

Schory: Favorite ice cream flavor?

Hunter: Vanilla

Schory: Favorite local restaurant?

Hunter: Fiora’s in Geneva

Schory: What is an interesting fact about yourself?

Hunter: I do 5K runs for lots of charities: Alzheimer’s, NAMI, All Chocolate Kitchen, LivingWell Cancer Resource Center. I get a medal each time because there’s usually only two or three of us in that age category.
