An employee at a Huntley cellphone store faces a felony charge after police said he sent himself nude photos from a customer’s phone.

Justin D. Devine, 23, of St. Charles was charged with nonconsensual dissemination of a sex image, a Class 4 felony, according to a news release from the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Devine was helping a customer on Sept. 19 at a Verizon store in the 12000 block of Route 47 in Huntley when she gave Devine her cellphone. Devine then sent five sexual images that were on the victim’s phone to himself, police said.

The victim confronted Devine about sending the images, which he denied, and contacted police, according to the release.

After an investigation, a warrant was issued for Devine’s arrest, and he turned himself into police on Oct. 17. Devine posted $1,500 bond and was released.

His next court date is Nov. 27, and he faces probation or between one and three years in prison, if convicted.
