Peck Farm to host new holiday event

The Geneva Park District is celebrating the holidays with a brand-new event, Christmas on the Farm, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sat. Dec. 15 at Peck Farm Park.

The evening kicks off with an ice carving demonstration from Nadeau's Ice Sculptors and live holiday music from Paper Boats until 5 p.m. The Geneva High School choir will perform from 5 to 6 p.m.

Families are invited to huddle around the fireplace and listen to Christmas stories from Mrs. Claus in the Peck Farm House, or gather near the outdoor fire in George's Circle. L.L. Bean will offer demonstrations on how to build a shelter and properly layer clothing for outdoor winter adventures. Santa will even make a special appearance to visit with the children.

The event is free, however Graham's Hot Chocolate and other food will be available for purchase, and some activities may have a small fee.
