While the numbers still are rolling in, several races have been called in Illinois, a night that has made JB Pritzker the governor-elect, along with wins for Susana Medoza, Kwame Raoul, and Jesse White.

Democrat Bill Foster claims the seat in the 11th Congressional District, and Raja Krishnamoorthi takes another turn in the 6th.

More locally, races are tighter, with many still in the running as of 8:30 p.m.

In the 14th District, a hotly contested race between incumbent republican Randy Hultgren and challenger democrat Lauren Underwood has Underwood with the lead, at 53.62 percent to Hultgren's 45.44 percent.

Don DeWitte, who took over the spot as senator in the 33rd district when Karen Mcconnaughay stepped down, is running neck and neck with Nancy Zettler at 49 percent of the vote each.

In the 49th Representative District, Karina Villa has a slight lead over Tonia Jane Khouri, at 50.7 percent.
