GENEVA – Artemisia, at 101 S. Third St., Geneva, is hosting a free trunk show from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 11 featuring the latest fall and winter designs of designer Kim Schalk, the company announced in a news release.
Schalk uses hand-made findings, such as metals and found items like seashells to use as accents on natural fabrics. Fabrics she uses include linen and fine mesh, her publicist Bill Underwood said.
Items to be featured include dresses, tops, skirts, slacks, long-sleeved tops, jackets and puffy pants – like parachute pants – and long skirts in mesh fabric, Underwood said.
“She incorporates an asymmetrical look, hidden pockets, exposed seams, the zipper on the front instead of the back, exposed,” Underwood said.
Schalk, of Alexandria, Va., will be on-site during the trunk show. More information is available by calling 630-262-0249.
