Last week against Wheaton Warrenville South, Kritta had three catches for 31 yards on a crucial drive that resulted in a Nick DeMarco rushing touchdown to give the North Stars a 14-7 lead.
"What makes him dangerous is his pure speed and his route running," Nubin said of Kritta. "He is really good at getting a defender's shoulders turned, and [he] has really good separation out of his breaks."
He's definitely got his quarterback's eye on him, too. The extra work during the offseason together in the event Kyler Brown had to play – he has virtually all season – has paid off just one game away from a possible state championship appearance.
"Alec and my brother [Peyton] are actually best friends," Brown said last week in lead-up to the quarterfinals. "I get to see him quite often, and we have really good chemistry."
