Girls Basketball: Keely Noel, Kaneland's new starting five show scrap against Sycamore
By JOHN GALLIONE - email@example.com
MAPLE PARK – Sycamore picked up its fifth win of the season Friday, beating Kaneland, 44-31.
The Spartans got off to a hot start with a 14-1 run to open the game. Led by Kylie Feuerbach’s 18 points and five rebounds, the Spartans looked infallible at times.
However, their 20-point lead was trimmed to 12 midway through the fourth quarter, and they turned the ball over 20 times, both things Sycamore coach Adam Wickness said need to change.
“I think what you saw tonight was an example of the bad team that shows up sometimes,” Wickness said. “I like to call us the Jekyll and Hyde version of each other. We have had a tendency in a couple of games to be very up and down. When we turn the ball over consistently, we look like we have no idea what’s going on.”
