Bread & Roses women’s chorus will perform Dec. 15.

Bread & Roses women’s chorus will perform at 3 p.m. Dec. 15 in DeKalb. Chorus members come together from Geneva, St. Charles, Batavia, DeKalb and beyond.

FUUsion, a group made up of nine Bread & Roses members, also lends its voice to services at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva.

The chorus will present Christmas and Hanukkah songs, including songs about peace and justice along with new pieces the group was introduced to at the Sister Singers Network Festival this summer, attended by choruses from across the country.

Bread & Roses delivers messages of diversity, peace and justice, protection of the environment, women’s empowerment and acceptance for all.

The concert will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 830 N. Annie Glidden Road, DeKalb. Admission is free, but donations will benefit the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights.
