Garden Party hosts kickoff event

Volunteers sought for new ideas

GENEVA – Fox Valley Hands of Hope will host a kickoff event for their 2019 Garden Party Committee from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 21 at Old Towne Pub and Eatery, 201 W. State St., Geneva, officials announced in a news release.

More than 700 people are expected to attend the 21st Garden Party luncheon on June 10 at the Q Center in St. Charles.

The kickoff is an opportunity to start brainstorming for the event, Hands of Hope development director Gayle Deja-Schultz stated in the release.

“This is a perfect time to reconnect with your fellow committee members, meet our newest committee members and bring other friends and family that are interested in joining the Garden Party Committee,” Deja-Schultz stated in the release.

In addition to lunch, the event has live and silent auctions, showcase raffles and live entertainment .

Proceeds will benefit Fox Valley Hands of Hope, which provides critical support services to adults, children and families experiencing grief and loss.

To join the 2019 Garden Party Committee call Deja-Schultz at 630-232-2233 ex 221 or gayled@fvhh.net.
