Nearly $4,000 was raised for the Batavia Mothers Club Foundation on Jan. 12 at its 80s themed bunco night.

BATAVIA- The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation raised around $4,000 for local schools and nonprofit organizations during its 80s themed Bunco event, "Totally Rad Bunco," on Jan. 12 at the Batavia Moose Lodge.

The event was open to the public, and the funds were raised through registration fees, a silent auction, games and raffles at the event.

All money raised goes toward the foundation's spring disbursements to schools and charities that support children and families in the Fox Valley. Details of last year's disbursements are available at http://www.bataviamothersclub.org/philanthropy/. The application for this years' disbursements have just become available and are linked at the top of the page. Applications for the 2019 disbursements that fulfill the foundation's mission will be accepted through Mar. 15.
