A secret to the restaurant's longevity is the care paid to fresh, quality ingredients, said Allred, who has adjusted adroitly to the changing restaurant scene over the decades.
Q's still is known for its signature pizza with a thin, tavern crust, but as pizza became commonplace everywhere, the restaurant focused on its Italian fare, tempting appetites with pastas paired with a choice of sauces, as well as steaks, sandwiches, veal and seafood.
