ST. CHARLES – Although the day of this year’s St. Patrick’s Parade had some rain, that didn’t stop more than 95 parade entries, 100 volunteers and thousands of spectators from coming to downtown St. Charles on March 9.

The Downtown St. Charles Partnership, which organized the parade, has announced this year’s St. Patrick’s Parade winners.

Best of Show went to St. Charles-based The Illuminators Outdoor Lighting company. In the business category, Bill Cho's United Taekwondo Center in St. Charles took first place. Apex Material Handling received second place and Beth Fowler School of Dance took third place.

In the nonprofit category, Lazarus House took first place. Hope for Haitians received second place and third place went to Marquee Youth Stage.

In the children's category, first place went to Chicago Soccer Academy of Fox Valley and Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois – Pottawatomie Service Unit received second place.
