Get to know Geneva resident

Geneva resident Heather Henderson was at the Geneva Women’s Club bunco fundraiser at Eagle Brook Country Club when she answered questions from the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Schory: Where did you grow up?

Henderson: I’m from Florida – I was born in Tallahassee and I grew up in Gainesville.

Schory: Do you have any pets?

Henderson: I have two dogs, a Boston terrier named Lola and a Jack Russell terrier named Lani.

Schory: Who would play you in the movie of your life?

Henderson: Reece Witherspoon

Schory: First job?

Henderson: Lab assistant at the University of Florida, washing dishes for a professor when I was 16.

Schory: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Henderson: I wanted to be a nurse and I am a nurse practitioner.

Schory: Favorite charity?

Henderson: I support the core charities that the Geneva Women’s Club supports: CASA Kane County, Fox Valley Hands of Hope, Mutual Ground Inc., Tri-City Family Services, Geneva District 304 and families and LivingWell Cancer Resource Center.

Schory: Favorite local restaurant?

Henderson: Gia Mia in Geneva

Schory: What is an interesting fact about yourself?

Henderson: I went to nursing school in Hawaii
