GENEVA – The Well Church in Geneva will hold its grand re-opening on May 19 after under going renovations and repairs after the building was damaged from violent winds this winter.
Lead Pastor Jerry Shaffer stated in a news release that everyone is more than excited to be holding services again in the church.
“We got our occupancy from the fire department, so we are coming home," he stated. "Sunday, May 19 is our grand re-opening at [our campus] on Cherry Lane. We want to thank the community and all of the churches that came together to help us out while our building was being repaired. We are beyond grateful to everyone who made this possible.”
The church’s roof was blown off from high winds on February 24. According to the release, church members and local businesses put in countless hours to help repair the church in a timely manner. The church was given the clearance to be back in the building on May 14.
Services will be held at both 9 and 11 a.m. The Well Church is located at 33W835 Cherry Lane in Geneva.
