GENEVA – Appearing for two nights of comedy will be what’s self-described as an England-born, Chicago-bred production by Improvised Jane Austen at 7:30 p.m. June 7 and 8 in the intimate Playhouse 38 in Geneva.
With independent heroines, misunderstood suitors, meddling mothers and charming cads, Improvised Jane Austen creates a Regency love story on the spot, according to a news release. The women of the company take an audience suggestion and craft a story that the most prominent female author of the 19th century might have written and carry it through misadventures and misunderstandings to its proper British conclusion.
Playhouse 38 is at 321 Stevens St. in suite P at the rear of the building bordering Wheeler Park. Tickets cost $12 and may be purchased at genevaparks.org.
